WHITEWELL

Dunsop Bridge

Surrounded by majestic fells, grazing lifestock and the River Hodder, Dunsop Bridge is a haven for hikers, day trippers and cyclists.  Close to Clitheroe and Lancaster, Dunsop Bridge is said to be the centre of the United Kingdom.

Perfect for a day out with family, the Village Green is abundant with ducks eager to be fed and handy to PuddleDucks Tea Room (which is well known for it's delicious food, and ice creams).

Behind PuddleDucks Tea Room is the Dunsop Bridge Playground.  Big and spacious, this playground is suitable for toddlers and teens.  Take a walk past the playground, and you will be onto the path of one of the many scenic walks that are available in the area.

Dunsop Bridge also has a wonderful small primary school called Thorneyholme Roman Catholic Primary School.  Small class sizes, forest skills, afterschool activities, adventure playground and wonderful outdoor learning activities, Thorneyholme Primary School is ideal!  St. Hubert's Roman Catholic Church is located a short way from the Primary School.  Built in 1865, this beautiful Church is set in an idyllic setting and serves the locals well.

The Dunsop Bridge Village Hall is the main hub of this community.  Community groups such as the WI and the local Playgroup, and fundraising activities keep this Village Hall very busy.

Make a holiday of your time in Dunsop Bridge by staying at one the lovely B & B's in the area.   We hope you'll enjoy visiting Dunsop Bridge!
